Minneapolis Trolley Conductor Pinned Between Streetcars

Officials say a volunteer trolley conductor was injured after getting pinned between two streetcars in Minneapolis.

A spokeswoman for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board says the driver, who is in his 70s, was helping attach two train cars around 7 last night when one car accidentally lurched forward, trapping his body between them.

The driver eventually was unpinned and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was in critical but stable condition.

His name was not released.

That streetcar line was closed but has been reopened since.
