Planning Group Wants the Ice Faster in West Fargo

A planning group for West Fargo schools is recommending moving construction of a $16 million dollar hockey facility up two years from 2018 to 2016.

The long range task force says the change allows for a faster decision to be made for students currently beginning hockey practice.

More than 600 kids are in the program, and school officials say a new facility is needed to house the growing numbers.

Whatever the district decides to build will need to be voted on by the public and approved with a 60 percent majority vote.
