Beltrami County Deputy Sheriff Hit After High Speed Chase
The Beltrami County Deputy Sheriff is seriously injured after being hit by a driver who was fleeing police.
Red Lake Police and FBI agents were chasing a car on Highway 89 Friday afternoon around 5:30.
The driver, 20-year-old Nodin Makwa of Red Lake, was reportedly involved in an assault involving weapons and was armed with a firearm and a sword. They called Beltrami County officials for back up.
