Boys Use Stabbing As Cover-Up Story For Broken Window
What started as a report of a stabbing at Roosevelt Park turns into a lesson learned for two young boys.
Around 4:30 Saturday afternoon police got a call about an 11-year-old boy with cuts from what he claimed was a stabbing.
Officers searched Roosevelt Elementary for evidence and after interviewing kids, they found several inconsistencies in the stories.
Police discovered that the 11-year-old and an 8-year-old lied and were covering up a broken window.
They were at a house in the area looking for a friend and when he didn’t answer the door, they pushed on a window and it broke.
The injuries on the boy’s hand are not life-threatening.
