Deadline Set for Fate of Wahpeton National Guard Armory

Wahpeton has set a deadline to either repair an old National Guard Armory or tear it down.

The Crown Ministry Group, which has owned the building for 2 years, has until October 1st to take action.

The building has been deemed unsafe due to damage caused by water and birds.

The cost to demolish the building is estimated at $175,000.

Repair estimates run much higher.

Crown Ministry Group President Douglas Bartels has said the nonprofit is nearly defunct.
