Dilworth Man Arrested for Buying Merchandise with Fake Money

Dilworth Police arrest a man after paying for a cab ride and an Xbox with fake money.

25-year-old Steven Foster of Dilworth is accused of counterfeiting and theft by swindle.

A man told police Foster bought his Xbox in the Walmart parking lot and paid with five $50 bills.

He learned from his bank that the money was fake.

Police got a second call from a cab driver who said he dropped off Foster at Walmart and he gave him a fake $20.  That’s where Foster was arrested.
