Trial Date Set for Former Lincoln Stars Hockey Players in Sex Tape Case

Two junior hockey players accused of making a sex video with a teen girl in Moorhead is scheduled for trial December 7th.

Thomas Carey and Brandon Smith were members of the Lincoln Stars when the video was made in 2014 at a Moorhead motel.

Defense attorneys fought to have the charges dropped for several reasons-including abuse of prosecutorial discretion.

The judge has ordered members of the jury pool to be questioned individually; outside the presence of other potential jurors.
