#NURSESUNITE:
The co-hosts of the View are being accused of bad bedside manner for criticizing Miss Colorado for doing a nursing monologue as her talent in the race for the Miss America crown.
Their reaction set Twitter on fire, the hashtag “nursesunite” blowing up on social media.
Nurses came together to tell Joy Behar that stethoscopes aren’t only for doctors.
One post with more than 530 THOUSAND likes said “Nursing is a talent.”
Others said the View’s comments brought down a most noble profession and they owe the nursing world an apology.
“I was not talking about her as a nurse. We were talking about the talent competition and it got misconstrued,” says Michelle Collins.
“It’s not like I was trying to be funny. It was just stupid and intentive on my part,” says Joy Behar.
There has been no word yet on what Miss Colorado has to say about it all.
She was second runner up in the pageant.
Not every moment on Facebook deserves a “like,” right?
FACEBOOK DISLIKE BUTTON
It looks like Facebook is working on one.
The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company is working on a dislike button and not everyone is liking it online.
As you can imagine, thousands of comments are pouring in on the topic including one man who says he is on the fence about the dislike button, but would be happy to use it on every Kardashian/Jenner post.
A woman says it’ll cause a lot of fights.
Zuckerberg says he hesitated to giving a thumbs up to the thumbs down button, but realized people want to express empathy on posts about unpleasant news.
Not every moment is a good one he said.
The initial dislike button will only be a test.
FOOTBALL FIELD FAIL
An Illinois high school may want to dim their Friday night lights after a mistake leaves much of their football field brown.
The company that maintains the field reportedly meant to put fertilizer on the football field at Saint Edward high school in Elgin but used weed killer on the grass instead.
Two thirds of the field was affected.
The team has to decide where to play its home games.
They should make their decision by Thursday after players have had a chance to practice on the field.
