Gov. Dayton Pushes to Change MN Driver’s Licenses for Air Travel Compliance
Governor Dayton says he’s strongly advocating a change in Minnesota’s driver’s license to make it compliant with federal air travel requirements.
Dayton says he’ll call a special session if he has to.
Minnesota is one of a few states that haven’t complied with a federal law that makes driver’s licenses more secure through proof of identity.

State lawmakers pushed back against the Real ID Act in 2010 citing privacy concerns.
