Valley City State University has been named the best in the Midwest.
The U.S. News and World Report of Best College rankings named the college the 2016 number one regional college in the Midwest.
Rankings are based on a variety of factors including admission acceptance rates, class sizes, graduation rates, and freshman to sophomore retention.
VCSU has made the top ranking list 18 years in a row, and has held the number one or number two spot for the last seven years.
“We love being number one of course who doesn’t, but number two I don’t know who I think it was Hurst that said it makes you try harder, and that’s what we do every day regardless of the rankings. It’s all about the effort we put forward to support our students, and that’s what I’m most proud of,” said Valley City State University President Tisa Mason.
VCSU welcomed 1,400 new students this fall, which is their largest record enrollment
