Car Accident Kills Toddler at Fergus Falls Daycare

A toddler dies after being run over in Fergus Falls.

Police say 17-month old Avah Dirkman walked in front of an S-U-V Monday afternoon and was struck.

It happened as a woman who had picked up her child at daycare was saying goodbye to another woman.

Neither woman was able see the toddler in front of the vehicle.

Dirkman was taken to Lake Region Hospital where she died.
