Police Release Suspects in Detroit Lakes Bomb Scare; Some May Face Charges
Red River Valley Bomb Squad is called out after something resembling a bomb is found taped to a power pole in a Detroit Lakes park.
Officers responded around 8:30 this morning to People’s Park, just south of Rossman Elementary.
They found a device with a cellular phone and wires connected to a package.
The device was shot by bomb squad robots and the area was deemed safe.
Several tips led police to those involved.
They say the minor and adults were deemed not a threat to the public, and were let go.
Some could face charges.
