Cass County Names New Emergency Manager

A former commander of the North Dakota Highway Patrol is the new Cass County Emergency Manager.

Jim Prochniak has replaced Dave Rogness who retired after heading emergency management for nearly 12 years.

Prochniak retired from the patrol in the spring of last year and went to work for the North Dakota Safety Council as its Alcohol Education Coordinator.

Prochniak was with the patrol for 27 years.

He served as Colonel for about five-and-a-half years.
