Becker County Sheriff Says Toddler Died of “Homicidal Violence”

Becker County authorities arrest a man after a three old boy is killed in Maple Grove Township, northeast of Callaway.

They say an initial autopsy showed three-year-old Steven Warren died of homicidal violence.
 
Emergency crews were called to the residence yesterday around noon on a report of a child with a head injury.

He was first taken to the hospital in Detroit Lakes then transferred to Fargo where he died.

The name of the adult male now in custody has not been released.

Charges are expected tomorrow or in the coming days.

White Earth Police, Becker County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota BCA continue to investigate the death.
