Searchers Find Body of Missing Monticello Man

The body of Joe Brunn was found by volunteer searchers this morning in Otsego according to his family.

Wright County Sheriff’s officials confirmed a body was found about 300 yards south of the Highway 101 bridge and 30 feet from the Mississippi River shoreline.

The 23-year-old Monticello man was last seen leaving a bar in Otsego around 1:30 Saturday morning.

Brunn left behind his car and was seen walking from the bar toward a cornfield.

More than 4,000 volunteers spent five days searching for Brunn.
