Local Bar Hosts Benefit to Help the Tollefson Family

A local bar opened its doors to help one family that is rallying together to help their loved one in need.

52-year old Andy Tollefson of Fargo was diagnosed with colon cancer in late April.

He has had surgery and is currently undergoing treatments to fight the aggressive form of cancer.

A benefit was held for Tollefson at Shotgun Sally’s in Fargo.

The event featured a silent auction, donations and spaghetti feed.
Family members say you really don’t realize how much support means till you need it most.

“Help him a lot, because It’s really expensive those chemotherapy treatments. I’ve had several friends that have been diagnosed with a lot with different types of cancer, and it’s very surprising to see it happened to one of my family members.”
