Funds Approved for Million Dollar Churches United Building
A controversial apartment complex for the homeless will be built in Moorhead.
Churched United for the Homeless has now been approved for more than $7 million in funding from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.
The total cost of the 43 unit low income apartment complex is $8.5 million and most of the money is now in place.
It will be located north of Highway 10 just off 34th Street North.
Some people living in the area have expressed concerns about safety.
Construction is expected to get underway in the spring.
