Drunk Woman Stopped From Driving With Boy

A Bismarck woman is accused of being drunk with a 6-year-old boy in her custody.

32-year-old Mary Jo Spalding faces a felony child abuse or neglect charge.

Bystanders at a Mandan bar-restaurant on Saturday night talked Spalding out of driving and got her a cab to take the child to his custodial parent.

Police officers who said Spalding was unable to walk without assistance later arrested her.
