The Great Plains Food Bank and a popular cell phone company have joined forces.
For the 4th year in a row, volunteers at AT&T took a day away from the office to help put together food baskets that will be donated to families in need.
The baskets were filled with all the traditional ingredients needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal.
AT&T associates say the volunteer effort is a way that they can give back to the community, and show that they are more than just a cell phone service.
“It gives us a really great feeling to do this for our community, and we provide a service in terms of cellular service, but it’s really more important to us to provide good community service and be great corporate citizens,” says Patrick Caskey AT&T Volunteer.
The group of volunteers built more than 400 hundred baskets that will be donated to families in need.
