UND narrows the search down to two finalists for interim president of the university.

Former North Dakota Gov. Ed Schafer and University of North Dakota Provost Thomas Dilorenzo are the two names recommended by Chancellor Mark Haggerot as finalists to serve in the role for President Robert Kelley.

President Kelley is retiring in January after nearly seven years.

Schafer says if offered the job, he’d take it.
