Fargo Mayor “Tickled Pink” About Lower Estimate for New City Hall
The latest estimate on the new Fargo City Hall is $9 million less than the previous lowest bid of $31 million.
The estimate is now at $22 million and Mayor Tim Mahoney says he’s “tickled pink”.
He says if the project is redesigned, the building will be scaled back in size but still impressive.
City commissioners will see a formal proposal on cost and a construction timeline in two weeks.
If everything is approved, the city will seek bids in the spring with construction starting in May.
