Minneapolis Police Officer Allegedly Run Down by Possible Shoplifters

A Minneapolis police officer is run over by suspected shoplifters.

It happened around 10 o’clock last night at a Cub Foods on Nicollet Avenue South.

Police say the suspects “drove directly at the officer, striking him.”

The officer shot at the vehicle, but it fled the scene.

The suspects in the dark Ford Explorer are described as a male and a female in their mid-30s, “of mixed race.”
