City Declares Action Against Fargo House

The deadline for demolishing a fire damaged home on 1st Avenue North in Fargo has passed and now the city is taking action.

Owner Gary Reinhart asked for more time to handle the problem because he was selling the property and the new owner planned to destroy it.

The sale fell through and so has the plan to level it.

The city plans to hire a contractor to do the work and the cost will be assessed to Reinhart.

Bids will be sought for the work starting next week.
