SUV Hits Thief River Falls School Bus; Bus Crashes Into Tree

A school bus full of children is hit by an SUV in Thief River Falls.

The accident happened around 3:30 this afternoon at the intersection of 11th and Duluth.

The bus with 27 students on board was hit by the SUV and the driver of the bus lost control and hit a tree.

Five students were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

A 6th child was taken by private vehicle.  Authorities say none of the injuries were serious.
