Salvation Army Prepares 300 Thanksgiving Meals
The Salvation Army is making sure no family goes hungry this Thanksgiving.
More than 300 food boxes were packaged all in less than an hour.
From turkey to stuffing to pumpkin pie, the boxes feature all essentials for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
They were filled to the brim thanks to some generous donations including from Pan–O–Gold, which contributed the bread.
“A lot of the kids look at the pumpkin pie. Mom looks at a meal that she doesn’t have to buy and Dad looks at that as not a cost to the family. Then there’s the happiness of knowing there’s going to be a Thanksgiving meal Thanksgiving,” says Major Byron Medlock of the Salvation Army.
Luther Family Ford employees will deliver meals to the doors of families that could not pick up their boxes.
