Senator Heitkamp Stops by to Ring the Bell

Senator Heidi Heitkamp volunteers her time as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army.

Heitkamp rang the bell at a Hornbachers on 32nd Avenue.

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign relies on volunteers to collect donations.

Donations will go to those in need, especially for the holidays.

“I think it’s really important we realize that despite our pretty good economy in North Dakota that we have a lot of challenges. We have an increase in homelessness. We have an increase in poverty,”says Senator Heitkamp

The Salvation Army is in need of more bell ringers.
