Shining Lights Kick Off Holiday Season in Style

Downtown Fargo-Moorhead shined tonight as the Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade kicked off the season of giving.
 
Hundreds of spectators lined up along streets in downtown Fargo-Moorhead, to see dozens of floats decked out in radiant holiday lights.

We joined in the fun. T-J, Rob, Mike and Alison had a great time greeting viewers and tossing plenty of candy for the kids.

Participants say it’s the perfect spectacle to start the holiday season.

“I think I really like how it pulls the whole community together. Everybody gets in the holiday cheer and spirit. That kind of thing,” says participant Shannon Martinson.
 
LinkFM ran free buses to and from the parade, complete with their own Christmas music to ring in the season.
