Jeremiah Program Receives Grant to Help Reach Project Goal
The Jeremiah Program is one step closer to reaching its goal that will provide affordable housing for single mothers in the F-M area.
The project received a $300,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines.
The funding will go towards the construction of the program’s new campus.
The additional funding as well as the current fund puts the project at a total of $2.95 million of the $5.5 million expected project cost.
The program is confident that remaining funds will be raised.
“Successfully gain these dollars is the kind of wonderful support we’ve received from the Fargo-Moorhead community, and them along with many others who have contributed to us means that we are really close to achieving our goal of our building, and supporting single mothers and their kids,” says Veronica Micheal of the Jeremiah Program.
The program is hoping to break ground on the new campus by next spring.
