Horace Mann Elementary Celebrates 100 Years

Horace Mann Elementary in Fargo celebrates its 100th Birthday.

The school first opened its doors on December 6, 1915.

The birthday celebration was opened to the public.

The school invited alumni and former staff to return to visit their old classrooms.

There were also goodies and outdoor game activities for all ages to enjoy.

“We are just thrilled that we’re able to be here again, still today with the students having the same purpose and the same building a hundred years later,” says Tracy Walvatne.

The longstanding school plans to keep its frame of the building but will look to update its windows and its ventilation system in the near future.
