A New Vision for Fargo’s Downtown?

Fargo’s City leaders approve the request to redevelop downtown Fargo.

The city’s planning and development group proposed a new vision to drive investments to downtown.

The second part of the plan is to find a consultant to design a blueprint for public infrastructure.

They also want to coordinate decision making between public and private sectors in the downtown core, all within the next 20 years.

“What we’re trying to do is at least to try and drive investments and economic development activities incentives in order to really push the envelope in some of the fringe areas,”says Department of Planning & Development Planner, Joe Nigg.

The city commission allocated a budget of $330,000 towards this master planning.

Fargo’s planning and development group will review consultant proposals next.
