United Way of Cass-Clay Releases Top 50 Most Generous Companies

United Way of Cass–Clay releases its list of the top 50 Most Generous Companies of 2015.

Scheels Corporation tops the list at number one followed by Sanford and Border States Electric.

The organization has partnered with more than 650 businesses.

According to United Way, companies in the top 50 serve as a role model for corporate social responsibility.

This is said to create a culture of caring among employees.

“It’s really important that we have support of corporations in our community. What’s even more important is that we have support from individuals and employees that work at these companies. Because they truly thrive those philanthropic contributions and they want to work for a company that gives back to their community. So it’s important to us but also the companies listed. It’s about workforce development,” says United Way’s marketing director, Kristina Hein.

The companies were ranked by not only their financial giving but also through their volunteer engagements.
