West Fargo Tops List of North Dakota Schools for Grant Money Due to High Enrollment
At least 35 school districts in North Dakota have received millions in grants to help cope with unusually high enrollment growth.
West Fargo is getting the most money at nearly $1.2 million.
The school’s enrollment has jumped 60 percent in the past decade, and the district has added a new high school, middle school and three elementary schools to keep up.
The Legislature earlier this year set aside nearly $15 million in the Department of Public Instruction’s two-year budget for the grants.
