Open House at the Islamic Center of Fargo Moorhead

The Islamic Society of Fargo Moorhead is hosting an open house. It is inviting the larger Fargo Moorhead area community to observe Islamic worship, learn about Islam, meet Muslim community members and sample ethnic food.
The event will be held at the Islamic Center in Fargo (601 28th St S, Fargo) on the 20th of December from 2-4 p.m. It aims at countering the growing fear and stereotype about Muslims fueled by the political rhetoric and conflict in the Middle East. The event will allow the larger Fargo Moorhead community to meet their Muslim neighbors, learn about Islam, bridge gaps, clarify misunderstandings, and observe the commonalities between people. The event is free of charge. The atmosphere is informal, friendly and informative.
The Islamic Society of Fargo Moorhead is the main society that speaks on behalf of Muslims in the area. It hopes that this event will be a beginning of a series of events that ensures that Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo areas remain safe, welcoming, and family friendly.
