Guilty Plea for Perham Landlord Accused of Shooting Tenant

A Perham man pleads guilty to shooting his neighbor.

In a plea deal, 63-year-old Gerald Skolte admitted guilt to 2nd-degree attempted murder.

Prosecutors dropped other charges.

Skolte shot Michael Marcell, Jr. in the back after serving him an eviction notice at his mobile home.

Marcell has since recovered.

Skolte will be sentenced in February.  He is expected to get 15 years in prison.
