Another Push for F-M Diversion Priority

Local and state leaders will be working on a push to get the U.S. Army Corps to make Fargo and Minot flood projects its top priorities.

The spending bill passed by Congress last week and signed by the President includes $690 million more in federal funding for construction of flood projects than the Corps proposed.

A roundtable discussion will be held Tuesday morning at city hall in Fargo to talk strategy.

Sen. Heidi Heitkamp says they need to build momentum and keep pressure on the Corps of Engineers and the Office of Management and Budget for a new study start.
