Davies High School Seniors Raise the Roof for Class

Fargo Davies students are raising the roof…and the walls…and the windows, spending their senior year building a house.

Ten students in the Construction 2 class at Davies are building an 1,800 square foot home from the ground up.

They showed off their progress for their classmates before winter break.

Students spend two hours a day working on the house.

Along with the real world skills they’re learning, the seniors say they develop a sense of pride creating a place someone will call home.

“It’s huge. It’s kind of indescribable. You see all these houses going up around Fargo and now putting up your own house is unbelievable,” says student foreman Nathan Kruize.

Once the house is complete at the end of the school year, the school will sell it like any other home.
