Fargo Saves Nearly $1 Million Thanks to Low Gas Prices
The lower gas prices just saved Fargo nearly $1 million.
The city fleet uses a million gallons of fuel each year.
Since nearly 3/4ths of that is bid out, they were able to lock in a contract that is $960,000 cheaper than last year.
Finance Director Kent Costin says the city anticipated fuel cost savings when the budget was put together in August, but he did not expect this large of a savings.
