Asking for Unity on World Religion Day
World Religion Day is January 17th.
Organizers of the event at the Dr. James Carlson Library in Fargo say the day aims to emphasize that religion must be the cause of unity.
They quickly educate about all the different religions, and then introduced the Baha’i faith.
It is a religion that believes the spiritual unity of all humankind and believes to be the one universal faith.
“The religion today is the cause of a lot of dissension and that there’s no room for that in God’s teachings. All the religions talk the same love and unity,” says High Community of Fargo member Mariam Kadrie.
Organizers teamed up with the Emergency Food Pantry for this event.
Attendees donated toiletries and nonperishable food items to the pantry.
