Downtown Fargo Celebrates Grand Opening on Ice

The Downtown on Ice Rink celebrated its grand opening in downtown Fargo.

The Downtown Community Partnership along with the Fargo Park District and Fargo–Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted a party at Main Avenue and Broadway.

The people behind the new rink say they are pleasantly surprised with the amount of donations that poured in to make this possible.

“We hit our goal and people were still interesting and partnering so we ended up with a better project than we hoped for is what it comes down to.  A really nice warming house – the benches, the lights, and the support to keep it maintained,” said incoming Downtown Corporate Partnerships Chair Mark Nisbet.

The Downtown on Ice Rink is open weekdays from five to nine and one to nine on weekends.

The rink will be open through the end of February, weather permitting.
