Fargo Company to Help With 2020 U.S. Census

A Fargo company will help the U.S. government conduct the 2020 Census.
 
HERE, a mapping and location technology company will provide maps to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The company produces digital mapping information in Fargo.

HERE is one of the first private companies to partner with the Census Bureau for the 2020 count.

Senator Heidi Heitkamp, who brought Census officials to the state in 2014, applauds the move.

“Well over a year ago I brought the Census Director out, introduced him to the folks at this amazing corporation and were to basically connect the two,” Heitkamp says. “That has certainly been a good result.”
 
The U.S. Census helps determine how much federal funding states get for transportation, infrastructure, education, and other essential programs.
