3,000 Pairs of Socks for Churches United

Churches United is always looking for more socks for its homeless population.

And the FM Home Builders Association stepped up to the plate collecting more than 3,000 socks.

Employees had a friendly competition to see which committee could collect the most. The winner contributed more than 2,000 pair of socks.

“Something so very simple that we take for granted I mean here we are at Christmas time, ‘oh great another pair of socks.’ We’re doing this for people that truly need or appreciate it so it was just kind of a fun competition,” says Home Builders Care President Bob Kochmann.

And the need is high.

Churches United provides socks to the homeless even to be used as mittens.

This is the first year for the sock drive. Home Builders plans to make it an annual holiday tradition.
