Fargo Police’s Joel Vettel Applies for a New Job

A Fargo Police Lieutenant wants to be the next Fargo Park District executive director.

Joel Vettel is among around two dozen people who have applied for the job which will open later this year when Roger Gress retires.

Vettel has been with the police department for 20-years and was on the park board for 12-years, including two terms as president.

To avoid any appearance of conflict, he resigned from the board earlier this month.

Applications for the job, which pays between $125,000 and $175,000 a year, close February 15th.
