Upper Midwest’s Largest Coin Show

Coin collectors from across the Midwest meet in Fargo, for the 56th Red River Valley Coin Show.

Coins from ancient Rome and Greece to modern day coins minted worldwide filled the Baymont Inn and Suites in Fargo.

Coins go for as much as 10,000 dollars each at this coin show.

Other shows can sell coins for as much as 10 million dollars.

Coin collecting is a financial investment for some, for others it’s a passion.

“It’s a tangible connection to history. It’s a piece of history that you can hold and look at and think about and for some people there is an artistic element in coin collecting also. Many of the coins are pieces of sculpture,” says Red River Valley Coin Club President, Ken Lepper.

The River Valley Coin Club meets the first and third Tuesday of each month.

The club welcomes members of all ages.
