It’s Robot Wars, Lego Style

It was battle of the robots, Lego style.
 
Fifth graders at Hawley Elementary School spent the day completing missions with their very own Lego robots.

Students were able to program their robots on their own using a computer.

The goal was to score as many points as possible in two and a half minutes making for a heated competition.

“They love the hands on and the technology the programming, the problem solving, and it’s just been amazing to see their thought process after they score go back to the practice table can we get better,” says 5th grade teacher, Tracy Baxter.
 
A few of the Hawley teams competed in NDSU’s most recent Lego robotic competition.

One of the teams even placed second in the region.
