Man Hit By Car Trying to Move Recliner Off of Interstate

A man trying to get a recliner off of the interstate in Roseville is struck and hurt.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 49-year-old Sakya Dama was heading north on I-35W on Saturday when the recliner fell out of a trailer in front of him.

Dama stopped his car and was trying to pull the chair from the roadway when an SUV smashed into him and his parked car.

He’s in serious condition.

A State Patrol spokesperson says it’s never safe to stop in a freeway lane.
