Fargo Police Officer Shot During Standoff Not Expected to Survive
Fargo Police Chief David Todd says Officer Jason Moszer will not survive from gunshot injuries he suffered while responding to a domestic dispute in North Fargo.
Todd says the six-year veteran of the department did not respond when dispatchers did a status check of officers on the scene.
He was found near his squad car and rushed to Sanford.
Todd says doctors determined the 33-year-old officer would not recover.
A standoff with the suspect inside a residence at 308 9th Avenue North continued as of 2 a.m.
Police and witnesses report the suspect has fired several shots.
An emergency alert was sent to people in the area around 9 p.m. telling them to stay indoors and go to their basement.
Police have not identified the suspect.
Red River Valley Regional SWAT and numerous agencies are on the scene.
