Fargo Public Library Celebrates Culture of Bhutan

Fargo Public Library wants the public to know about the cultures that make up our community.

Community members had the chance to learn about the culture of Bhutan.

The presentation included pictures of the countryside, celebrations and festivals.

This is the library’s fourth program on cultures from other countries.

“When you understand what they came from, what the country was like, some of the trials, the challenges they had before they came to America makes us understand some of the problems they may have here in our country,” says Reference Librarian, Diane Briggs.
 
The library plans to continue the series into the fall.

The next event will explore the Native American culture.
