Officer Moszer’s Funeral: What You Need to Know

The funeral for fallen Fargo Police Officer Jason Moszer is tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Scheels Arena.

Here is what you need to know:

The public is invited to attend but seating and parking are limited.

Doors will open at 11 a.m.

You can get to Scheels Arena at 32nd Avenue from 45th Street South.

Officers will direct you where to park.  Carpooling and ridesharing is encouraged.

The YMCA will be providing free child care during the funeral.

During the service, the family asks that there are no photos, video or audio recordings.

You can watch the entire service here on KVRR starting just before one o’clock.

Family and first responders are allowed in the procession after the service which will head west on 32nd Avenue to Veterans Boulevard.

North on Veterans to Main, passing by Cheney Middle School.

East on Main to I-29 north to 40th Avenue North across the Red River and into Moorhead.

It will pass by the National Guard Armory.

Officer Moszer served in the Minnesota National Guard and did two tours of duty as a combat medic in Bosnia and Iraq.

It will also pass Sanford Hospital, Fargo Police Department Headquarters and end at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home where a private family service will take place.

The procession could take some time in the afternoon and you could run into traffic delays in these areas.

If you are not attending the service, it is advised that you avoid the area of 32nd Avenue and 45th Street South until after 4 in the afternoon.

Authorities are asking for the public’s patience as we honor a man who gave his life in the line of duty for his community.
