West Acres Sears Shut Down After Gas Leak

A gas smell at Sears forced the store to shut down for about an hour this afternoon.

The leak was reported just after noon near the auto center.

Crews from the Fargo Fire Department and Xcel energy tried to locate the source of the smell.

They determined it was coming from some fluid in the auto shop.

They didn’t find any spills.

The store was ventilated and re-opened just before 2 o’clock.

The rest of West Acres Mall was not affected.
