U.S. Air Force Officer Seeking Peterson’s MN Seat

A retired U.S. Air Force Officer is running for congress in Minnesota’s 7th District.

Dave Hughes is seeking the seat held by Collin Peterson.

The democrat has served in Congress since 1990.

Hughes lives in Karlstad and his campaign website describes him as conservative with goals of smaller government and fiscal responsibility.

Hughes is currently employed by General Atomics as a UAS Instructor Pilot.

Hughes and his wife and their seven children moved to Karlstad in 2014 after he wrapped up 21 years of active duty military service.
